The Object LIVE! with Jeremy Messersmith
This live taping of The Object podcast, hosted by Tim Gihring, features special guest musician jeremy messersmith, fun quizzes and prizes, and of course storytelling.
A very Valentine’s afternoon all about the comedy and tragedy of the heart in love. Join us for an irreverent, warm-hearted romp with Cupid and Psyche, Orpheus and Eurydice, and other classical couples whose stories of heartache, jealousy, and passion have long captured our imagination in art. It’s “The Object LOVE! Don’t Go Breaking My Art!”
Celebrated singer-songwriter jeremy messersmith has thoughtfully, cleverly captured life’s delicate balance of joy and absurdity in pop masterworks like The Reluctant Graveyard (named one of NPR’s top 10 albums of 2010), Heart Murmurs (2013), and Late Stage Capitalism (2018). His songs of missed connections and kittens, boomers and billionaires, and the transformative power of love have drawn praise from the New York Times, Rolling Stone, and the Star Tribune, which dubbed him a “Minnesota music hero.”
