Celeste Ng and Attica Locke in Conversation
What's it like adapting your novel (or someone else's) for the screen? What are craft tips for writing crime and mystery fiction? What is the role of dystopian fiction today? UMN English is bringing bestselling novelists Celeste Ng and Attica Locke to Northrop to address these topics...and your questions as well!
Get your free tickets today for this April 14 7:30 pm reading and conversation, presented by the Department of English.
Celeste Ng is the author of Our Missing Hearts, which envisions a near-future of book bans and the disappearance of political dissidents. She also wrote the bestselling novels Everything I Never Told You and Little Fires Everywhere, both widely recognized as books of the year.
Attica Locke is the screenwriter who adapted Little Fires Everywhere for Hulu—and received an NCAA Imagine Award for TV writing. She is adapting her own Edgar Award-winning Highway 59 crime novel trilogy (including last year's Guide Me Home) as part of a development deal with Universal Television.
