Public mini_polis Workshop

June 6th to 6th

Come take part of building your own part of Minneapolis. Saturday, June 6th, 11am - 6pm, on the MInneapolis Convention Center Plaza. Our goal for mini_polis is that the sculpture becomes a device for collecting and telling local stories, and empowers people to dream big for Minneapolis, with the knowledge that their dreams can be heard.

Reebok CrossFit Games 2015

May 29th to 31st

Athletes who have proven themselves to be the fittest in their region will converge with athletes from one or two other regions at each regional and fight for the five qualifying spots to the CrossFit Games. With fewer athletes making the cut, you can expect to see big names and competitive times in every heat. You will be able to watch the events in person or stream it all online. Eight regional competitions take place over three weekends from May 15-31, 2015.

Dick Fox's Golden Boys

  In the era of bobby socks and poodle skirts, the most popular teen idols were Frankie Avalon, Fabian Forte and Bobby Rydell. The teen heartthrobs from South Philly, known as the “Golden Boys,” will take the stage at the Mystic Showroom on Friday, May 29 at 8 p.m.  Tickets go on sale March 20th, 10 am.

Calvin Hiep's 2015 A`o Da`i Collection

Self-taught fashion designer and owner of Hyp Fashion will bring his 2015 Áo Dài Collection to the Mystic Showroom stage at 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 30. Hiep came to the U.S. in 1989 with talents that passed down from generations. His family has always been in the tailoring business. He started his business, Hyp Fashion, 18 years ago in Little Saigon and has created over 1,500 collections.

The LACS to perform at Mill City Nights

Average Joes Entertainment recording artists, THE LACS, will be bringing their undeniable style of genre-merging music to Minneapolis, MN Saturday, May 30 to perform at Mill City Nights. The LACS, currently on their 34-city “Outlaw In Me 2015 Tour” that kicked off in February, will be performing their catchy new single, “God Bless a Country Girl,” from their new album set to be released on May 26. The doors open at 8 p.m and the show starts at 9 p.m. for ages 18 and over.

Mini Maker Faire

The one-day festival will bring the world's greatest show and tell on Earth to the Twin Cities. Local and regional makers will showcase, demonstrate and share interactive creations with the public during this family-friendly event. The faire will be held at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 30 from 10am-6pm. There will also be a maker party with live music from 8pm-midnight.

15th Annual Flint Hills International Children's Festival

 The world-class family event – one of the largest children’s festivals of its kind in the country – showcases diverse art, cultures and perspectives from more than 25 different countries. The May 30–31 Family Weekend line-up features local, regional and international artists on indoor and outdoor stages in downtown Saint Paul’s Rice Park, Landmark Center, Landmark Plaza, Ordway Center for the Performing Arts and the Lehr Theater.

Tech Dump and Rebuilding Together Twin Cities

A free electronics recylcing event. The public is encouraged to bring game consoles, cell phones, laptops, TVs, computers, monitors, routers, hubs, etc. and donate them. Proceeds benefit two non profits: Tech Dump and Rebuilding Together. Receipts provided to donors for taxes.
