Out There 2015: A Festival of Performance Alternatives 
Walker Art Center
January 8-31. Every January, Out There brings startling, vital, provocative, and often joyous new forms of theatrical expression to the Twin Cities. Beginning as a modest two-weekend series held in the depths of Minnesota's winter at the Southern Theater, Out There has grown into a full-fledged month-long festival featuring new international performances, workshops, dialogue sessions, salons, and other activites.

Omnifest 2015
Science Museum of Minnesota
From January 9th through February 19th, the Science Museum's William L. McKnight-3M Onmitheater will host one of its most popular traditions. Omnifest 2015, an annual giant screen film festival, will feature five films running in rotation on the Omnitheater's 90-foot domed screen. Tickets go on sale Thursday, Jan 1st.

US Pond Hockey Championships

The 2014 outdoor hockey tournament returns to Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis. Hundreds of teams formed from NHL legends, high school greats, and neighborhood stars compete for the Golden Shovel.

Monthly Winter Farmers Market
Mill City Museum
Starting November 8th, the Mill City Farmers Market head indoors with over 40 fabulous vendors. One Saturday a month, from 10am to 1pm, visitors can choose from an abundance of fresh produce, locally milled grains and flours, preserves, artisan cheeses, pastured meates, beautifully crafted ceramics, kitchen utensils, jewelry, and much more.

Ice Castles
Eden Prairie 
The Ice Castles will be in Eden Prarie this December. Crews will form 5,000 icicles a day and then hand craft them, while lighting up the creation with colorful LED lights. Tickets will go on sale Mid-November. The Ice Castles will be open from Jan 9th through March 2015. Check out this amazing creation with the whole family.
