SAINT PAUL, Minn. (January 15, 2016) – Doggie Depot, the popular celebration for pooches and their owners, will return to Union Depot in downtown St. Paul on Saturday, February 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will include rescue dog adoptions, a pet products vendor marketplace, Q & A with Katie K9 from MyTalk 107.1, and the crowning of the first-ever Saint Paul Winter Carnival doggie royal court – Canine-King Boreas and Canine-Queen of Snows.
The live broadcast by MyTalk 107.1 will take place simultaneously during the event and representatives from Sidewalk Dog will be on hand to share tips with guests about the Twin Cities’ most pet-friendly restaurants, retailers and more. Several area rescue organizations will be there with dogs available for adoption. The event is free and open to the public and guests are encouraged to bring their dogs to Union Depot for this special event, which is the only time dogs are allowed inside the venue. There will be fun activities for guests to do with their dog, a pet photographer to capture photos, and each dog will be given a doggie bandana, while supplies last.
Union Depot accepted nominations from the public for Canine-King Boreas and Canine-Queen of Snows through January 13 in a Facebook campaign. Sixteen Queen and 16 King finalists will be chosen to go tail-to-tail in the online Doggie Depot Bracket Contest. The public can cast their vote
January 19-February 2 by visiting http://www.mytalk1071.com/doggie-depot.
