WHAT: On Saturday, March 17, Nickelodeon Universe® at Mall of America® will celebrate its 10th birthday with a special 10-hour birthday event.

The day filled with events and activities will include a meet and greet and sliming with Minnesota Viking wide receiver, Stefon Diggs.

To commemorate a decade of fun, entertainment, and of course, SLIME, Mall of America will host 10 hours of events, activities, and giveaways. The festivities will begin with an orange velvet rope drop and a streamer cannon blast to kick off the celebration.

Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the debut of a special birthday edition of the Nickelodeon fan favorite show “Double Dare” for kids to participate in.

The birthday festivities in the Rotunda will include:


10 a.m.: Opening Ceremony

The fun starts in the Rotunda with music, treats, announcements, giveaways, character appearances and a parade in the park hosted by Nickelodeon’s DJ Boogie.


11 a.m.: Coloring Sweepstakes

Crayola Experience will host a coloring sweepstakes plus music and prizes. Guests can color their favorite Nickelodeon characters and enter for a chance to win one of two Crayola Experience Birthday packages.


Noon: Cupcakes + Performance by NUNNABOVE

The first 1,000 guests will receive a special cupcake in honor of the birthday. There will also be a live performance by NUNNABOVE.


1 p.m. and 4 p.m.: Double Dare Challenge: Birthday Edition

It’s Double Dare Challenge: Birthday Edition in West Market Square Lucky audience members will make it through the messy obstacle courses and answer trivia questions, ultimately leading up to the winning team getting slimed, Nickelodeon’s highest honor!

2 p.m.: Double Dutch Jump rope

Check out the Rosemount Double Dutch Club as they show off their jump roping moves and teach guests some tricks to try on their own.


3 p.m.: Slime Making

Guests will learn how to make their own slime.


5 p.m.: Ninja Turtle Takeover

Meet the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and watch the latest TMNT episodes in the Rotunda. The first 1,000 guests will receive a special Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle mask.


6 p.m.: Stefon Diggs Meet + Greet and Sliming
Join us for a special meet and greet with Minnesota Viking’s wide receiver Stefon Diggs and watch as he gets slimed, Nickelodeon’s highest honor!


7 – 9:30 p.m.: Rock and Ride Dance Party

Wrap up the daylong celebration with a Rock & Ride Birthday Edition hosted by DJ Boogie at the South Entrance of Nickelodeon Universe.
