JEROME FIBER ARTISTS PROJECT GRANT EXHIBITION
MINNEAPOLIS, MN--Textile Center is pleased to present You Know Who You Are, an exhibition by this year's recipients of the Jerome Fiber Artists Project Grant, set for September 3 through October 24, 2015, in the Joan Mondale Gallery. Fiber artists Sarah Kusa, Becka Rahn, Jennifer Schultz, and Kate Vinson complete their fellowships with this exhibition that will feature works involving digitally designed and printed fabric, wearable art from adapted vintage patterns, knotless netting, mixed media assemblage, hand and digital printing, and collage.
Now in its seventh year and funded by Jerome Foundation, this program is designed to expand opportunities for emerging fiber artists in Minnesota, supporting them each with a $5,000 project grant, as well as additional professional development programming. The fellowships, created to help the artists take a step forward in their artistic careers, include exhibition planning and implementation, culminating with a final show of the artists' new work.
An opening night party is set for Thursday, September 3, from 6 to 8 pm. and in addition to the Jerome exhibition, Textile Center will celebrate the opening of two additional exhibitions:
