Governor Mark Dayton has proclaimed May 22 as Minnesota Early Learning Day and will be recognized for his support by the Minnesota Association for Family and Early Education (MNAFEE) at Mall of America on Tuesday, May 22 at 10 a.m. in the Rotunda.
The MNAFEE award will recognize Gov. Dayton as Minnesota’s Champion of Early Education. In a fun gesture, he will be given a Super Hero’s cape, naming him Minnesota’s Caped Crusader for Children’s Early Learning.
The event at Mall of America will include entertainment by the award-winning music of Minnesota’s own Teddy Bear Band. Creative activities will also be offered throughout the morning. Parent information tables will be available featuring Early Education resources.
Governor Dayton’s proclamation recognizes and celebrates Minnesota for leading the nation in providing high quality early learning programs available to all families through the public schools. These programs include: Early Childhood Family Education, School Readiness Preschool and Voluntary Pre-K.
