DJ Shannon Blowtorch and Sweetpea throw one of the biggest and best Pride parties around, and we can’t wait for the return of Grown & Sexy Pride VIII in the Mainroom on Friday, June 22. The night features music, dancing, and performances from Dykes Do Drag, Ladies of LaFemme, The Vigilantease Collective, TRANScendance, NewBlackCity, BRKFST, Butch Charming, Antic Studios, and host Adonia. Tickets are on sale now.

English indie-pop rockers Nothing But Thieves are making the jump to the First Avenue Mainroom with their Friday, September 14 show with grandson and Demob Happy. The show is in support of Nothing But Thieves’ latest album Broken Machine, tickets are on sale May 18.

Liz Phair announced her Amps on the Lawn fall tour today. The influential songwriter just released the her Girly-Sound to Guyville: The 25th Anniversary Box Set, featuring remastered songs from her renowned 1993 work and earlier cassettes. Following an immediate sellout for her June 4 date at the Turf Club, Phair will play the First Avenue Mainroom on Saturday, September 15. Tickets are on sale this Friday.

Philly electronic-duo Marian Hill head to the Twin Cities tomorrow for a show at the Palace Theatre, as the last stop on tour supporting their newest release Unusual. Producer Jeremy Lloyd and singer Samantha Gongol create atmospheric hits using sparse beats, delicate vocals, and a little bit of alto-sax thrown in for good measure. Tickets are available via Etix.
