"Lance Armstrong's Steroid-Pumped Comedy Revue"
Minneapolis, MN -- The Brave New Workshop Theatre (BNW) is pleased to announce the cast and title for its 2013 spring show: "Lance Armstrong's Steroid-Pumped Comedy Revue: A Cheater's Guide to Winning." Previews for the show run March 14 - 21, 2013, with opening night on March 22. The show runs through June 29. All performances are at the Brave New Workshop Theatre main stage at 824 Hennepin Avenue, Downtown Minneapolis. Tickets for "Lance Armstrong" are on sale now at (612) 332-6620 or http://theatre.bravenewworkshop.com/
"Lance Armstrong's Steroid-Pumped Comedy Revue" is the 280th comedy revue by the BNW, and one that promises to continue the theatre's long tradition of taking on the hot-button issues of the day with a mix of hilarious jokes and biting satire.
"Now that Lance Armstrong has shown the world that doping is the new black, the Brave New Workshop is exploring cheating and dishonesty in all their many forms," says director Caleb McEwen. "It turns out that the only person to ever ride a bike in France while not hopped up on drugs is Mitt Romney."
"Lance Armstrong" will feature returning BNW cast members Lauren Anderson, Bobby Gardner, Andy Hilbrands and Taj Ruler. The show is directed by Caleb McEwen, with assistant direction by Katy McEwen. Peter Guertin returns as music director, and Dan Peltzman will provide technical direction.
The cast began the writing and rehearsal process February 4. Show images and additional show information will be available in the coming weeks.
