The Minneapolis Convention Center (MCC) , the largest convention center in the Upper Midwest, offers 475,000 square feet of exhibition space for trade shows, conventions, sports tournaments, concerts, and more. Just 20 minutes from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, it provides 900 convenient underground parking spaces and access to 8,000 more nearby. The convention center is undergoing renovations to enhance meeting rooms and will remain fully operational throughout the process, which is set to be completed in early 2026.

The MCC’s sustainability initiatives earned it a gold-level accreditation under the Events Industry Council Sustainable Event Standards. The Urban Meadow Plaza was awarded silver certification under the Sustainable SITES Initiative system for achievements in environmentally conscious landscape design. It is the nation’s first SITES-certified project to be located at a convention center and the first SITES-certified project in the Upper Midwest. Previous sustainability recognition for the convention center includes LEED v4 certification for existing building operations and maintenance from the U.S. Green Building Council.
The MCC recently launched its “Green Team” initiative. This group of dedicated staff members works alongside the event operations team to assist your gathering by establishing and ensuring proper recycling and distribution efforts. With a wide range of event spaces, the MCC ensures you will find the right place to host your event. Spanning four levels, the MCC houses 87 meeting rooms, exhibit halls, and auditoriums. On the first floor, the auditorium seats 3,433 attendees and can be divided into three separate 430-seat circular lecture halls. The flexible 376,200-square-foot contiguous exhibit area divides into four large, distinct exhibit halls. Additionally, a fifth 99,000-square-foot exhibit hall is located on the lower level. The main level features a 27,500-square-foot ballroom, divisible into two rooms, which is perfect for large galas and similar events. On the second level, the Seasons rotunda is a beautiful space for banquets, VIP gatherings, or award ceremonies, with lovely views of the city. It accommodates up to 400 people banquet-style or 500 with reception seating. For outdoor events, the 37,600-square-foot Urban Meadow Plaza hosts groups as large as 3,900.
