Nosferatu - A Symphony of Horror (1922)
In October Skyway Theatre will host multiple showings of the 1922 classic silent horror film Nosferatu – A Symphony of Horror accompanied live by The Curse of the Vampire Orchestra. This unique production was created by Minneapolis composer, Philip Shorey, and features local symphony and choral musicians mixed with modern industrial electronica, rock n’ roll light show, and campy Halloween special effects. “Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror” is a cinematic masterpiece that is being remade by well-known director Robert Eggers who is recently known for The Northman, The Lighthouse, and The Witch. Come experience the original film the way it was meant to be seen with a big live orchestra before you witness the remake in 2024. Shorey has been presenting this classic film across the world and it now returns to his hometown this Halloween season. This special event will feature three show times on Friday, October 27th at 8pm and Saturday, October 28th at 3pm and 8pm.
