Freshwater Film - Minneapolis premiere
Minneapolis premiere event of the award-winning documentary film Freshwater. Following the screening on May 21, Askov Finlayson will host a panel discussion with members of the film’s cast and crew to examine the complexities of protecting freshwater from the threat of climate change and the importance of preserving Lake Superior as a resource for future generations. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the National Parks of Lake Superior Foundation.
Freshwater is a feature-length documentary film that explores the cold waters of Lake Superior, along Minnesota’s North Shore, through the eyes of surfers, scientists, business owners, and residents. It contains 10% of Earth’s freshwater, yet Lake Superior remains largely unexplored and is warming at an alarming rate. The filmmakers seek to raise awareness about the importance of its preservation and the need for ongoing research.
