Morning- Sleep in a bit in a cozy hotel bed (may we suggest they always-comfy ones at the Depot Hotel?). You’ll need all the rest you can get, because you’re more than likely in for a rowdy afternoon/night at a stadium.
Pre-Game- When it comes down to it, the only thing you need before a game are the three B’s: Burgers, Beverages and a Good Batmosphere (the B is silent). There are a couple great places to get this perfect Blend. Huberts in the Target Center features the mad scientists of burger creation, as their signature menu of burgers features perfected classics coupled with over-the-top delicious experiments. Also, check out The Pourhouse for some during-the-game ridiculous specials like “Free Beer and $.25 Wings, First Quarter of Every Minnesota Game” that happen constantly.
Game Time- Being one of the only cities in the nation to boast five professional sports teams, you’re bound to find a game any day of the week. In the winter, you’ll be able to catch some Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Wild games. Or, perhaps the college atmosphere is your thing. Head on down to Mariucci Arena to watch the powerhouse Gophers Hockey teams, or check out the Gophers Basketball teams at Williams Arena. For schedules, fun facts, tickets and more information on these teams, head on over to our Professional Sports page.
Post Game- After the game, just step out of the doors of whatever arena you’re in and experience the Minneapolis nightlife. To keep the energy going, head on over to the Shout House for some sing-out-loud antics in the midst of dueling pianos (they take requests!).
