Go Organic

When you eat food in Minneapolis, you’re eating the food OF Minneapolis. Seriously. We have a strong agriculture community here, and the food they grow is sold at our many farmer’s markets, then bought up and served to you at these organic restaurants.

Morning
An all-organic bar? It sounds strange, but that’s Bryant-Lake Bowl. Not only can you bowl (yes, bowl), you can try brunch’s biscuits and gravy with free-range bison or veggie sausage. At Ecopolitan on South Lyndale, everything’s not only organic, but raw. Okay, it may sound a little shocking, but it’s delicious. Make sure to order a smoothie.

Afternoon
The Good Earth serves up some of the best organic fare in town, with delicious hot and iced teas to match. Their lunches are especially appetizing: fresh salads, sandwiches—even Mexican cuisine. Plus, you can take a stroll around the swanky Edina Galleria after your done tantalizing those taste buds.

Evening
For an intimate dining experience with a view that can’t be beat, try Spoonriver. Enjoy the views of the Stone Arch Bridge spanning the Mississippi while you savor the finest in natural cuisine from your patio table. Minnesota’s first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Deisgn (LEED) certified restaurant, Red Stag Supperclub is a Northwoods style supper club that strives to be a good citizen by serving local, organic foods and conserves resources by composting waste. Later For a decidedly bar crowd, get your body down to Bryant-Lake Bowl (okay, it’s a great breakfast/brunch stop, but it’s also an unbeatable late-night hangout). An award-winning beer list plus live entertainment—and yeah, bowling—equals a night to remember.
