We grow our food AND eat it, too, with our 17 individual farmers markets all throughout the city. And it's about more than just eating deliciously fresh and nutritious food. It's also about sustainability. Buying locally, we are able to decrease our carbon footprint and packaging waste while also supporting our local farmers.
It's not all just about food, though. Flowers, artisan crafts and other gifts give these markets personality; Minnesota flair that is undeniable. Make sure your visit to Minneapolis includes some of these markets.
Offering everything from heirloom vegetables and organic fruits to flowering plants, pastured meats, dairy, and eggs. Check out Mill City Farmers Market's wide selection of specialty foods including farmstead cheeses, preserves, breads, and more. Weekly kitchen demos, live music, kids' activities, and more! The first farmers market in Minneapolis to focus on locally grown, seasonal foods from the region's finest sustainable, organic farmers, and small businesses. Open every Saturday May 9 through October 31, 8am to 1pm. And monthly winter markets inside the Mill City Museum (Second Saturdays, November through April).
