Minneapolis is home to a proud, diverse community, and every year we celebrate this with a multitude of events-- and the amount of culture and heritage displayed is overwhelming! Extravagant costumes and personalities alike highlight the Twin Cities Pride Festival, as one of the largest GLBT parades in the nation winds its way through the city. Later, hit up the Flaming Film Festival, where filmmakers from across the U.S come to premier independent films featuring GLBT content.

Then, head down to the Festival of Nations to get a taste of the multi-cultural celebrations. Immerse yourself in their 37 authentic ethnic cafes, 60 cultural exhibits, 75 dance ensembles and 55 international Bazaar booths. Relax and let the smooth sounds of jazz envelope you at the Freedom Jazz Festival. Check out the Dragon Festival; the state’s largest Pan-Asian cultural festival, complete with dragon boat races, cultural performances, martial arts and cooking demonstrations, authentic food, arts, crafts and special children’s activities. Put your tastebud fortitude to the test at Minnesota’s Spiciest Celebration, a six block celebration of Spanish music, authentic food, dancing, contests, children’s activities and entertainment.

At the end of it all, the experiences you’ll have at events like these in Minneapolis will leave you culturally current, expanding your horizons and changing your outlook on life!

The Twin Cities Pride Celebration includes a festival, parade along Hennepin Avenue, boat cruise, picnic, block party and much more with 400,000 plus attendees.
