For 50 years, Minneapolis was the "Flour Milling Capital of the World." The immigrants who worked in the mills brought old-world recipes for pierogies, kielbasa and sauerbrauten.

Stroll 17 blocks for an eating adventure that's as diverse as it is delicious. Just south of downtown, more than 50 restaurants line Nicollet Avenue with a mix of ethnic varieties. Find upscale fusion at Azia, classic German fare at the Black Forest Inn, Mexican specialties at Salsa a la Salsa and some of the best Vietnamese food in the city at Quang Restaurant and Pho Tau Bay.
Visit Minneapolis's Restaurant Row. With 20+ restaurants, including some of the city's finest, the 11-block pedestrian mall is hopping from morning to midnight. For upscale, try Vincent, Basil's, Manny's or Oceanaire. Or relax with a plate and a pint at Brit's Pub or the Local.
