Minneapolis Spring Shopping Itinerary

Morning: You're about to undergo an all-day shopfest. You'll want to be rested up and properly fueled up to make it through the day. The Courtyard Minneapolis Downtown is ready to help you out with that. They're steps from Guthrie Theater, Mill City Museum, the breathtaking St. Anthony Falls and many other downtown attractions. Plus, The Bistro, the hotel's signature restaurant, serves an energizing breakfast and mouthwatering evening fare.

Mid-Morning: Step outside your hotel door and right into the shopping haven of downtown Minneapolis: Nicollet Mall. Please do some neck stretches before you go, though – the street is LINED with huge deals and cool things to buy, so you’ll be twisting and turning your head a lot to soak it all in. You’ll find everything from jewelry to high-end fashion to rare books on this street.

Oh, and we should mention…NO SALES TAX ON APPAREL. That’s a pretty big deal.

Lunch: Once you’ve quelled your downtown shopping fix, head on over to the ever-trendy Uptown and grab some food to refuel. May we suggest Libertine? Not only do they have a great selection of craft ales and brews, but their rooftop view of downtown Minneapolis is simply stunning.

Afternoon: After you eat, head back outside and visit the boutique and chic shops of Uptown (say that five times fast). You’ve got thrift shops, big-name fashion stores, spice shops and a whole lot more. If there’s something cool, Uptown will definitely have it.

Evening: Grab all the cool stuff you just bought, put it on (not all of it), and strut your stuff in the place all the socialites go: Chino Latino. Dimly lit with accents of red light, the mood is already set for a smooth setting that matches the fantastic outfit you just bought. Try out some food from the “hot zones,” and indulge in the wild and crazy drinks on menu.
