BIKE TO THE FESTIVAL OR PARK YOUR CAR AND TRAVEL BETWEEN SITES ON FOOT, BY BIKE, PEDICAB OR PUBLIC TRANSIT.
Cycling is a great way to get to all four areas of the Secret City festival. Don’t forget a safety light, lock and helmet. Check out Nice Ride, the Twin Cities bike share system. $6 will give you unlimited trips (of 30 minutes or less, additional fee for longer rentals) all night long. Nice Ride stations are convenient to each of the activity areas and are marked on area maps. www.niceridemn.org.
Don’t forget to create your own art bike with ArtStart at the Convention Center Plaza!
HENNEPIN AVENUE BIKE LANE
This night only one lane of traffic on Hennepin Avenue will be closed for two-way biking.
Hail a pedicab, three-wheeled pedal cabs that are powered by trained, licensed and insured drivers to provide a fun and practical mode of green transportation. A pedicab station will be located at the Minneapolis Convention Center. (Fee required.)
Walking from one downtown festival area to another takes 15 to 20 minutes. Look for the interactive wayfinding project “Points of Interest,” which connects all three downtown areas of activity, and learn more about your city.
