Fall Outdoor Adventure Itinerary

Morning: The Commons Hotel

Today will be an active day. Start it off right by waking up at the chic Commons Hotel and enjoying a delicious breakfast at the Beacon Public House before boarding the Greenline toward downtown for your adventurous day.

Metro Transit Greenline

All aboard! The Metro Transit Green line is now open servicing downtown Minneapolis to downtown Saint Paul. Board the train at the East Bank Station just outside the Commons Hotel toward Downtown Minneapolis and exit at Target Field Station your next stop is just a short walk from the station.

Mid-Morning: Above the Falls Sports

The sun will be rising at this point, as should your level of adventure. There’s no better way to go wild than taking your adventure to the water.  Above the Falls Sports offers a number of group kayak tours and personal rentals that take you down the heart of the mighty Mississippi River; the same river that put this city on the map.  You’ll be in awe our city's natural beauty. Guaranteed.

Lunch: Red Stag Supperclub

You’re going to need to refuel after that water trek, so check out the Red Stag Supperclub to get what you need to keep going. The first Leed-CI certified restaurant in Minnesota, Red Stag is of the firm belief that extremely healthy food doesn’t have to taste like dried roots. Their food is absolutely delectable, and they have a fabulous farm fresh, local, and organic menu for lunch as well as dinner.

Afternoon: Kerfoot Canopy Tour

After lunch enjoy the Fall colors from above the trees with Kerfoot Canopy Tours. This guided adventure allows you to not only to ride zip lines, perch on a 50 foot tower at the edge of a beautiful, deep ravine running through the Minnesota River Valley. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, you get to experience the forest from a new vantage point – the branches of the trees.

Dinner: Parasole Restaurants

After a day full of biking, jogging and kayaking, the best way to keep up that adventurous energy is to hit the young and hip Uptown neighborhood. Close to the lakes and known for great restaurants, bars, and shopping, Uptown will keep the night alive. You can enjoy "food from the hot zones" at Chino Latino or relax on the rooftop at the The Libertine.
