More than 4,000 people to join in chorus at Mall of America® to honor Zach Sobiech
More than 4,000 people will join in chorus at Mall of America® to honor Zach Sobiech, a teen from Lakeland, Minn., who passed away from osteosarcoma in May this year, by singing along to his hit song Clouds, on Thursday, Dec. 5.
Marking the first anniversary of his worldwide debut of Clouds, KS95 Morning Show will host “Ryan & Shannon’s Largest Clouds Choir” in the Rotunda. Area school and church choirs along with thousands of individuals of all ages will join together to sing the heartfelt and catchy lyrics of Clouds in honor of Sobiech.
Sobiech first shared his story and music on behalf of Children’s Cancer Research Fund at last year’s “KS95 for Kids” Radiothon, and he quickly captivated the world. The music video for Clouds has 8.3 million views, downloads for the song number 300,000 and it rose to no. 1 on iTunes. More than 11 million have watched the documentary that chronicled his last days.
Ryan & Shannon’s “Largest Clouds Choir” is a part of the “KS95 for Kids Radiothon,” taking place at the Mall of America Nordstrom Court on December 5 & 6, benefitting Children’s Cancer Research Fund and Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare.
