MINNEAPOLIS— The Tenors, the internationally acclaimed, multi-platinum recording artists, will play Hennepin Theatre Trust’s State Theatre at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013. This concert was originally scheduled for June 14 at Orchestra Hall. Formerly known as The Canadian Tenors, they include Clifton Murray, Victor Micallef, Remigio Pereira and Fraser Walters. They will be touring in support of their second studio album, “Lead With Your Heart,” (Verve) released in January 2013 and which debuted at #1 on Amazon.com. Their PBS special of the same name will also air locally on Twin Cities Public Television in June. Tickets for the State Theatre show go on sale at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 26. Since releasing their self-titled debut album in 2009, The Tenors have performed for audiences around the world and are known for blending classical music and contemporary pop in their distinctive vocal style. In their illustrious career, they have performed for Queen Elizabeth during her Diamond Jubilee at Windsor Castle, on The Oprah Winfrey Show with Celine Dion, at the Opening Ceremonies of the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver and during the live broadcast of the 2011 Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. They have also shared the stage with such legends as Paul McCartney, Andrea Bocelli and Sting.

Their new album, “Lead With Your Heart,” is a 12-track journey that combines classic songs, modern tunes and Spanish and French world music. It ranges from covers of Bob Dylan’s “Forever Young” and Elton John’s “Sorry Seems to Be The Hardest Word” to the tenor aria “Nessun Dorma” from Giacomo Puccini’s opera Turnadot and new compositions written and co-written by The Tenors. They will visit Minneapolis as part of a 70 city North American tour including Chicago, Los Angeles and Boston.

The Tenors will perform at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Hennepin Theatre Trust’s State Theatre (805 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, 55402). Tickets go on sale at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013 and range from $43.50 to $63.50 depending on seating preference. Patrons holding tickets for the concert originally scheduled at Orchestra Hall on the same date are being contacted with further details. All prices include applicable facility fees.
