SHAKOPEE, Minn., (August 1, 2013) –Start your 2013 Renaissance experience with a BOOM! Experience how to make gas bombs, rainbow snake bubbles, elephant toothpaste and Newtonian beads at the Dr. Thora Pandora Science Show.
Who says you need a lab coat and safety goggles to be a scientist? Come experience the magic of science and physics at this child friendly event. The Dr. Thora Pandora Science Show consists of child friendly demonstrations of science and physic projects children can do at home with their parents. In addition to the show, children will have an hour of play with Oblique, exploding watermelons, pressurized hot potato, slimes and fluids, and a parachute.
New experiments and play hours at this year’s show are the gas bombs, rainbow snake bubbles, Newtonian beads, Oblique, pressurized hot potato and slimes and fluids. Dr. Thora will demonstrate how to make a bag expand and POP with the creation of gas bombs, make a beautiful rainbow with bubbles, and how to make Newtonian beads move! During the hour of play children will be able to make a corn starch and water solid liquid, explode the pressurized hot potato, play with the different oozy and gooey slimes and fluids and discover the force of the extra-large parachute! The show is held daily in Alice the Cook’s Sand Lot and is free for all patrons!
The Minnesota Renaissance Festival 43rd season begins on Saturday, August 17 and ends on September 29, 2013.
