Meet Minneapolis Announces Patio Week May 20-24

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Minneapolis Patio Week is May 20-24

(MINNEAPOLIS) — May 17, 2013 — Meet Minneapolis, Convention and Visitor’s Association, is proud to host the first-ever Minneapolis Patio Week May 20 through May 24, 2013. Exclusive food and beverage deals have been arranged at 28 Minneapolis area restaurants and bars with patios, whether they’re on the rooftop, street-level or sidewalk, to celebrate the favorite pastime of eating al fresco in Minneapolis as soon as the temperatures start to soar.

On May 23, Kieran’s Irish Pub’s popular patio across from Target Center on 6th Street and 1st Avenue will be the headquarters for Meet Minneapolis and KTWIN radio’s patio party from 4-6 p.m. Live music by Love Songs for Angry Young Men will entertain while guests enjoy food and drink specials and more.

For the entire list of Patio Week participating partners, go to http://www.minneapolis.org/patios and use the handy map or check out the hours and specials available at each spot. In the event the weather prevents using the patio, don’t stay away – the specials are good inside the restaurants, too!

Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to get to Minneapolis May 20-24 and visit an old favorite or try a patio never before experienced. With 28 to choose from, it’ll be a busy week!

These hot spots are available every day, but Patio Week is only once a year. For the rest of the year, get deals and exclusive experiences at http://go.minneapolis.org and sign up for the email newsletter to be the first to know about what is happening in Minneapolis.
