Global Youth Service Day 25th Anniversary celebration

to be held at Mall of America®

 

WHAT:        Children of all ages will gather with their families at Mall of America® on Saturday, April 27 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Global Youth Service Day (GYSD). With participants in over 100 countries, GYSD recognizes the millions of young people who shape their communities through service and volunteering.

 

                     The event is expected to draw hundreds of Minnesotans and is intended for all ages. The afternoon will feature on-site service projects and prizes for “plugging into service” as well as youth performances from communities across the state.

 

                     The Global Youth Service Day celebration at the Mall of America is sponsored by Minnesota Alliance With Youth in partnership with Delta Dental of Minnesota and Youth Service America. The Minnesota Alliance With Youth is Minnesota’s leading convener, collaborator and capacity-builder for youth development, working with and for youth to ensure that all young people have access to five fundamental resources proven to ensure that youth succeed.
